Program at the University of Guelph’s Kemptville Campus, and went on to build a landscaping design and maintenance business in Northern Muskoka. When he learned of The Master Gardeners in 2020, their mandate of freely learning and sharing plant knowledge inspired him to join. Sean continues to do public speaking and community projects, this podcast being his latest passion. You can find him online on Tiktok and Instagram @GardenGuyMuskoka.

Our Podcast Origin Story

Plants Always Win came about due to a series of happy coincidences. In 2020, Sean and Erin were both making short gardening videos on TikTok. When Sean began to suspect they were both filming in the same rural region, he reached out—and an online friendship bloomed into real life. Every time they got together, they talked non stop about plants, gardens, and ecosystems. Sean had planted the seeds of a garden podcast before, but his co-host had to bow out. Erin had toyed with the idea herself, but wasn’t sure she could put up the energy to go it alone. When the conversation came up between them, the plan to go all in together was made in an instant. After all, plants DO always win.
